Xinhai Chairman Yunlong Zhang signs the agreement with BatteryLimits Managing Director Phil Hearse.
BatteryLimits has entered into a landmark legal agreement with Chinese mineral processing technology and EPC company Xinhai to provide minerals technology and cost-effective process plants internationally.
Xinhai is an experienced engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company and has completed more than 500 projects world-wide. The organisation has extensive proven experience in international project implementation having successfully completed projects in a string of countries including Tanzania, Sudan, Zimbabwe, Algeria, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Iran, Chile, Mongolia, Russia and Saudi Arabia.
Xinhai operates extensive fabrication facilities in Shandong and has built more than 3,000 grinding mills as well as equipment for most mineral processing applications.
Under the new arrangement, BatteryLimits will provide process design, project management, and quality and design assurance, to meet the demands of its clients. Xinhai will provide detailed design, fabrication, procurement, construction and installation.
BatteryLimits Managing Director Phil Hearse said the combination of western expertise and eastern efficiency would deliver significant capital cost savings for clients with mineral processing plants built to exacting Australian standards.
Mr Hearse toured the Xinhai facilities in Yantai, Shandong, and travelled with Xinhai personnel to view Xinhai’s projects in the graphite province of Heilongjiang, in northern China, and a gold project, in Shandong.
“I am impressed by Xinhai’s technical strengths, by their engineering and fabrication quality, and by their breadth of experience,” he said. “Together, Xinhai and BatteryLimits present a powerful new force in the development and delivery of mineral processing projects world-wide.”
Xinhai Chairman Zhang flew to Perth to finalise the agreement.
